Cosmetic Packaging REACH Declarations

A REACH declaration is a dated, scoped statement about substances present in a defined packaging article, not a blanket approval of an assembled cosmetic package. Buyers should expect it to identify the exact component, material and supplier role it covers, reference the relevant Candidate List version, and address the 0.1% w/w communication threshold where applicable. Since a bottle, pump, gasket, cap, coating and printed decoration each require separate reasoning, declarations are normally collected component by component. One covering a glass body does not resolve a pump or a varnish. Supplier or material changes make earlier documents stale, so version control and reassessment belong in routine procurement practice.
